How do I play Scarper?
Scarper is played by connecting tiles of the same colour that are horizontally or vertically next to each other in a grid. Making squares (or looping back to the same coloured tile) pops all tiles of that colour. The direction in which gravity works (down, up, right or left) to replace the popped tiles depends on last two connected tiles, e.g. if the final connected tile is above the prior tile then gravity works upwards (Grid 1 which is a tutorial illustrates this). Starting at Grid 1, players complete the level task, e.g. 20 red and 20 green tiles within 30 moves, and then move onto the next level. After a level task has been completed players are awarded a star rating (1, 2 or 3) based on the number of moves taken relative to the maximum allowed. This video demos how to play
What is the objective of Scarper?
The objective of Scarper is to progress through the Standard (blue) levels with the highest star rating (1 to 3 and based on moves taken) as you can for each. Once the first 50 Standard levels have been completed then for any Standard (blue) grid where a 3 star rating has been achieved a Hard (red) version will be unlocked for play. Your extra challenge, should you wish to accept it, is to complete as many Hard levels with up to 3 stars.
If you complete all the grids available in the current version of Scarper and are eager for more, have no fear, further grids will come your way shortly with the next update of Scarper.
How do I remove arrow tiles?
To remove arrow tiles move them to the side of the grid where the arrow is pointing then they will fall off the grid. It is often helpful to make tiles to remove coloured tiles that may sit in the way of the arrow tiles. Grid 15 in Scarper is a tutorial which demonstrates how.
Is there a time limit to complete a grid?
No, there is no time limit.
Can I replay a grid?
Yes, once a grid has been completed, it can be replayed as many times as you like. Players will often wish to replay a level to improve their star rating and to, possibly, unlock a Hard level.
